What I'd really like to play at, these days, is setting up audio everything in and around our house.

There must be gobs of books I'd like to read, but I've mostly lost track of what they'd be. Besides anything written by Neal Stephenson, of course.
Computer games that allow (preferably even encourage) people to interact with each other are my favourite type. Still, even with those, I only tend to play with a game long enough to get a feel for it. Some games I've somewhat enjoyed for their multiplayer interactivity are Netrek, Warcraft II, Diablo, and even MechWarrior. It's a long time since I've played any of those. I'd really like to see an open source game that could support a huge persistent game world. For now, one of the coolest open source game projects I've seen is Freeciv, a free game that resmbles a multiplayer twist on Civilization II.

See my annex to Tim's WarCraft II puds page.
