I'd certainly prefer to have others do to me as I would want done! That's the courtesy I try to extend, which I sometimes refer to by its relationship to the Golden Rule.

Perhaps my mistake is to even make reference to a Christian tenet, as highly analysed, interpreted, and abused as the Bible can be? I take the last line of the Wiccan Rede as referring to the same concept -- again, so long as you don't interpret it in the shallowest way.
